Memory Match Game: An Example of Inventive Gameplay
Materials used: Animal Track Tokens, Yellow Cubes

Do you want to engage your child’s memory skills while having a blast with ‘Farm Animals’? Our example game, Memory Match, offers a thrilling twist to the traditional matching experience. Here’s how you can play:

Set up the Game: Gather Animal Track Tokens and lay them face up in a grid system of your choice. For instance, you can arrange them in a 4×4 grid, with four columns containing four tokens each (16 in total).

Ensure Matching Pairs: It’s essential to have an even number of Animal Track Tokens for this game. Make sure there are enough matching pairs to create excitement and challenge. You can use the same Animal Track Token design for multiple pairs, ensuring an even distribution.

Determine Player Order: If multiple players are participating, a parent/caregiver/educator is designated as the Storyteller who will decide the order. The Storyteller announces the sequence in which each player takes their turn.

Observe and Memorize: The Storyteller instructs all players to pay close attention to the tokens and their placements for a few seconds. Once the time is up, the storyteller turns all the tokens face down.

Start Matching: The first player chooses a token and flips it face up. If the following token does not match, all tokens are turned face down again. It’s now the next player’s turn to make a match. This process continues until a player successfully matches two identical Animal Track Tokens.

Winning Yellow Cubes: Whenever a player makes a successful match, they earn a Yellow Cube. If the game is played solo, the objective is to match all tokens. In multiplayer mode, players strive to accumulate the most Yellow Cubes before they run out.
